As You Wish Mimi Jackson New York (NYC and Long Island), NY *The owner/creator of this site, Mimi Jackson, is also the owner of the Shop the Garment District website, and leader of the tours and author of the maps offered by that site. She is now serving a small number of new clients, long distance clients, existing clients, former clients, and select corporate clients. Will consider collaborations and consulting opportunities.

Design and sewing for special needs, garment redesigns/complex alterations, party and formal garments, and appropriate modified copies of existing garments (no exact duplicates). As the pandemic wanes, Mimi is continuing to work with clients from a distance (without in-person fittings). Whether you've gained or lost a little or a lot, or even stayed the same, Mimi can create "fitless garments" with minimal seaming and construction details, enrobing you in beautiful fabrics that flatter your unique figure, without corsets, detailed or complicated seams or contouring. Will accept long distance, consulting, and design prototype projects. Custom formal garments require a deadline of no less than 6 months.
Mimi began her career after studying aparel design at Fashion Institute of Technology, creating costumes as an undergraduate for Washington University's theater productions, and working for a variety of New York City fashion companies. She has been working with private clients for nineteen years, and also owns and manages www.findadressmaker.com, as well as www.shopthegarmentdistrictnyc.com. Email
